Your data, plainly
AI job search tool privacy: where your data goes
Hirabo keeps your resumes, jobs and drafts in your own browser. When you run a step, such as tailoring a resume, Hirabo processes your resume on its servers and sends back the result. There is no account. It contacts outside sites only to search for jobs, find contacts and fill an application, and each of those is listed below.
Storage
What is stored, and where
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Resumes and resume versions | Your own browser |
| Jobs, match scores, tailored resumes, letters, email drafts | Your own browser |
| Your answers to application questions | Your own browser, saved per job |
| Screenshots and records of each filled application | Hirabo's servers, saved for each application |
Clearing the app's site data in your browser deletes the first three. There is no account, so nothing is tied to your name or email.
Our servers
What our servers do with your resume
The work happens on Hirabo's servers. So your resume text and the job you picked are sent there whenever you check a match, tailor a resume, draft a letter or email, or fill an application. They are used only to do the step you asked for.
- The AI that rewrites your resume never sees your contact details, education or skills list.
- Demographic, disability, veteran and consent questions on a form are never given to the AI. They stay blank unless you answer them.
Outside sites
Every outside site it contacts
Of all the outside sites, only the employer's own application form ever gets your resume.
| When | Goes to | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Searching for jobs | Job boards and company career pages | The job title, location and filters. Not your resume. |
| Finding contacts | The job post, the company's own pages, and public search engines | The company name and job title. Not your resume. |
| Checking an email address | A public internet lookup service | The company's web address, to see whether it accepts email |
| Filling an application | The employer's application form | Your details and resume, entered into that form |
| Submitting | The employer's application form | Only when you press Submit |
| Using the assistant chat | A public download site | A one-time download of the assistant, which then runs in your browser |
| Only if you turn on the optional connector for other AI assistants in Settings (off by default) | A public download site | A request for the connector itself |
Filling an application means typing your details into the employer's real form, even before you press Submit. Some application systems read an attached resume as soon as it is attached. So treat filling a form as sharing your resume with that employer's application system.

This website
This marketing website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google sets cookies to do that. The website never sees your resume; you upload it only in the app.
Never
What it does not do
No account
No login and no email sign-up. Just open the app and start.
No emails sent
Outreach emails are drafts for you to copy and send yourself.
No rule bending
No applications on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or ZipRecruiter, and no attempts to get past a CAPTCHA or login.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI job search tool store my resume on a server?
Your saved resumes are kept in your own browser. The resume text is sent to our servers when you run a step, and a screenshot and record of each filled application is saved on our servers.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account, login or email sign-up, so nothing you do in the app is tied to your name or email address.
Can I delete my data?
Clear the app's site data in your browser to delete your saved resumes, jobs and drafts. Nothing else in the browser keeps a copy.
